It's getting to be that time of year, again: the sshg_promptfest will open for prompt collection on 10 March! Before it does, however, you should know that I've made some changes to the rules. As always, you may find the SSHG Prompt Fest's complete rules, schedule, and submission guidelines in the community's profile, and to avoid confusion, I urge you to read them before participating. That said, here are the highlights:
- You may offer prompts anonymously.
- If you submit your entry before 30 April, you may claim a second prompt (but your deadline will remain 31 May).
- You may ask for an extension in advance of the deadline (but it's unlikely that I'll grant extensions for second works).
- Finally, you may explore the relationship between Severus and Hermione however you like, but all fics must be between 1000 and (approximately) 10,000 words—in other words, all your words (including your header) must fit into one LiveJournal post.
As well, I have two clarifications to offer. First, when submitting prompts, the fifth one you offer may be (at your discretion) for art, for fic, or for a choice of art or fic (at the promptee's discretion). Second, if you're an artist, you are not required to use a beta, but there's a place in the header to list one if you do.
If you've any questions about the rules, schedule, and submission guidelines, please email them to sshg.promptfest [at] gmail [dot] com, or ask them in reply to this post.
I hope to see you in March! :D
